Here's a website that lists classifieds & breeder info for all kinds of reptiles: http://www.kingsnake.com/.

Pet stores aren't the best way to go unless you want more common varieties/colors. Pet stores deal with suppliers, not breeders, and the suppliers usually only deal wholesale (not with the public).

I'm also a little leery of doing business on the web, especially if I've never dealt with a person/company before. Another option is to find out if there are any reptile shows near your area (try typing your state or large city near you and "reptile show" for a web search). These usually occur once a month and you can see the animals before you buy. The person there usually is the breeder, so they can give you the history of any animal and the care it's received. Prices are also better than the internet.

Buying reptiles over the internet is not very safe. You can't be a hundred percent sure on what you are getting, not everyone is completely honest.

I would say yes, go take a look at Pet Smart, Petco, or better yet, to a store that specializes in reptiles. Look for those on the internet near you.

Why? Because you can speak to the workers there, tell them what you are looking for, and get info on their suppliers.

After all, those stores get those reptiles from somewhere, and there is a chance those breeders have more than one color. If not, maybe they know where to look to find what you are looking for. At least that way you know you can rely on them because you are seeing first hand the results the breeder is making.

But remember, those rare colors you want will take a good bite out of your wallet.

Ohh leopard Gecko severe-high quality (: they're initially from Asia. determine you examine the situation you're making plans to purchase them from first, or come across a nicely stated breeder. they in many cases consume a staple nutrition plan of crickets which will desire to be EITEHER intestine loaded (fed supplements and stuff) or sprinkled with a calcium powder, yet mealworms, waxworms and so on. could be thrown in as treats, even though it is not counseled to feed them stay worms whilst they're youthful, additionally whilst they're breeding the females can consume pinky mice for extra fat and protein and stuff (: Bedding you need to use kitchen paper, or especially designed reptile sand, do no longer use widely used sand as whilst the gecko is eating it could %. up bits and it will grow to be impacted interior the geckos abdomen which isn't especially. Temperature would desire to be a gradient so which you have a warmth mat on around a million/3 - 3/4 and no warmth mat on the different area, do no longer use a warmth rock as geckos in many cases get burnt, you need to use a infra pink warmth lamp to create a warmth spot. interior the warmth spot it could be around 90F and at evening the cooler area would desire to flow to around 70F that way the the air around the tank would desire to save around 80F. undergo in suggestions issues like having a disguise on the two the warm area AND the cool area, determine you have a damp field for the gecko whilst it is epidermis laying off, determine you condition its water. they're VERY invaluable pets in case you get each little thing appropriate and in many cases hardy pets and basic to seem after.
