TOYS by themselves do not make your child intelligent! YOU, working with your child, using many of the creative learning things on the market
helps your child to develop-learn-understand.

The keys are - parents working with their child not giving the child something to do then leaving the child on its own!

Get CD with phonetics, classical music, nursery rhymes(More Phonetics).

Above all, you are the parent! It is not about what the child wants! It has NO experience to know what it wants. You tell and teach and there are NO exceptions, crying, yelling, back talk, slamming the door (Meaning Kiss MY A#$!).

From age 5, give your child music lessons using a instrument that the child can carry. Caring the instrument helps to teach responsibility, music supports schooling, in that it is math, reading comprehension and requires discipline, and daily practice, all of which supports character development.

Leap Frog, Creative play things are just two of the many good suppliers of materials that will support your child's mental development.

Also, buy things that can be taken apart and put together again, Blocks, Lego, Tinkertoy, electric train, puzzles.

Leap Frog products are great, and so are games that involve your child's imagination, like Cranium or Legos. Trivia games that start simple and get harder are helpful too. Also be sure to be with our child while they play sometimes and influence their learning too. Toys alone can't do much.

Anything that makes your child use his/her imagination. Building sets like Leggo's, Lincoln Logs, etc. are great.
