why doubt yourself, if you are in the position or have the opportunity to be one, test yourself and push the boundaries, if not, you can always get out and try something else. There is no "quality of a ceo"
If you compare the first 20 CEOs on the fortune 500 list, their personalities and qualities are so varied that it is hard to tell.
If you want to set yourself up to be one, you can make it an odds game; 60% of the ceos are ex strategy consultants from bain/mckinsey/bcg/other consulting firms. so that career is somewhat aligned to being a ceo because of the probability.

Who knows? Whats your background, unless your driven to high success, ready to tread all over people, had Uni education and real world business experiance maybe. If you have none of this you better get started.....
