I love my husband VERY much. We have been married almost 7 yeaars, I have no plans of leaving but in the past 7 years he has steadily gained weight and I find it a huge turn off. He has gained apprx. 50 lbs. it has hurt our sex life, because of my feelings on the subject. I have been supportive of his attemps at weight loss but it seems as though he just buys a lot of 'stuff' and never follows through with any of it. It gets expensive which adds more stress to the situation. I try not to be insulting and don't think I am. I try to be positive throughout all of his attempts, each attempt has been his idea. I rearrange meals I cook for the family to fit a healthier lifestyle for him but he just gives up always within 6 months. I am blessed to have never had weight problems and I am trying to be understanding but this is a real problem for me. What do I do?

As for your concern, I am sure you do love your husband. If I am in your situation. First I will buy a tread mill, set our goal for exercise together for as least 30 min to 1 hour each morning. Start it out in the morning, because that 's when your body not so tired from all the work, errand, kids...So you have to avoid or skip the exercise. Next , I will try to cook healthy foods, meals as much as I can, with more vegetable, and avoid fry foods, junk foods, maybe less alcohol for him too. Encourage him and let him knows you do all this because you care for his health in the long run. Find some activities for you and your husband and kids to do together during the weekend, like adventure, camping, bowling, any kind of sport will help...I am sure if he really set his mind in it, with your support and love. He can do it. My dad is 58 yrs old, he was really heavy, but after he got diabetes, I think he was scare for his life, he did all of that and he is still doing the tread mill now.He lost lots of weight and he is in better shape than when he was 45 years old. I hope you will get your before and after husband back, If you know what i mean? !!!

Start exercising together, just going for walks and generally working on your fitness together. That way, both your bodies will benefit, and you get to spend some time with your husband. Have fun!!

HE NEEDS TO BE WITH A GROUP OF OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE WHO EXERCISE AND EAT RIGHT AND COMPETE BY WEIGHING IN IN FRONT OF EACH OTHER. HE HAS TO DEVELOP THE DISCIIPLINE TO DO SOMETHING BECAUSE IF HE DOESNT HE WILL SUFFER FROM ;PHYSICAL PROBLEMS, HEART, AND OTHER PROBLEMS . IF HE LOVES YOU THEN HE WILL DO IT AND VERY SOON.
