I really wish that you would have posted some examples of how you are (according to your friends) seeking attention. I'll just put in my two cents by saying that if this is a recent change in you, then your friends might be on to something.

We all seek attention.

But your friends are likely right in that it's to much, too bold, or too often.

So what drives you to do it? There's always a reason. Have an older sister jealosy? Have low self esteme because your mom once said you would never amount to anything? What?

There is a root problem. Find it, deal with it. Get professional help if needed. Or talk with a good friend.

Or maybe just move to Hollywood and become rich...

Are u trying to be an extrovert ? R u the one who approaches people when they are new around u ? Do u dress up boldly or flamboyantly? R u trying to be smarter or shrewder then ur other friends and trying to act smart? then sure ur grabbing attention.
