Guillermo del Toro has made some really great movies(Pan's Labyrinth and The Devil's Backbone.) Pan's Labyrinth is the best dark fantasy movie I have seen in a long time. Some of his "Hollywood" stuff is OK(Hellboy and Blade 2.) I wouldn't say greatest ever but he is pretty good.

I watched Blade II and Mimic. It's great to watch, but at the moment I can't say he's the greatest director, though.

He makes good sci-fi movies becasue hes an actual fan. I hear they are coming out with hellboy 2, so u hope its just as good. I got to go see his movie out right now i hear its great.
