when to use sincerely and when to use faithfully????

"faithfully" has become outdated in modern language.
You write this when you address an authority. Like Student to Teacher or Principal.

Sincerely is used generally. For most business letters. And is commonly used.

faithfully is friendship, where as sincerity is how honest you are and is for business letters.

when you write to a person whose name you know you use sincerely yours and when you address your letter dear sir or madam its faithfully yours

Sincerely implies an intimacy lovers friends well known friends

Faithfully is implied to employers and Public office and formal mail etc
