I use my computer for my music, and want to use iTunes as it has a much better sound, but am unable to get around the licensing of the music I downloaded from my windows media player.

Burn the music onto s CD first then transfer to iTunes

You can't. Both iTunes and Windows Media Player have equalizer options, so if you don't like how one sounds you can tweak it.

Burning and ripping the music will only sometimes work. Many PlaysForSure songs either will not allow you to burn them to a CD, and even if you are able to, many will simply reload the DRM once you attempt to rip it.
