Don't listen to q8abat, it's stupid morons like her that incite hatred and cause problems like that. Jews do NOT hate everyone else. What a moronic statement. How can you classify Jews as one person? We are individuals, just like anyone else.
Anyway.
One reason I can think of why Jews were so hated was because they are different than all cultures. People do not like what is different...people fear differences. A lot of cultures conform, but Jews do not. Society doesn't like it when a culture does not integrate with their own. Also, it's a part of a person's upbringing and mindset. Germans in that time were bought up being taught all sorts of horrible things about Jews. Germany was having a lot of problems, and they needed a scapegoat. So Jews were used to blame all of Germany's problems on. There's really no answer. It's jealousy, fear, intolerance, and hatred. Let's put a stop to it.

History tells us that Hitler and the whole Nazi movement needed someone to blame for Germany's downward spiral after World War I. So they used the Jews as a scapegoat. That's what history tells us at least.

Hitler wanted to rise to power; German was going bankrupt.
Many Jews were wealthy, and bankers.
Hitler needed a scapegoat; what better one in a Catholic/Lutheran country than to pick the Jews--whom most at that time believed "killed Christ."
Plus, what better group than one hated by many; who cares if they were smart, and good at making money ??
Without the Scapegoat, many wars would not begin or even be won; alas.

Look into Hitler, and his feelings on Jews. I think he was ridiculed by a Jewish intellectual, and took it out on the whole race.
Part two. Maybe it wasn't as good as you thought.

Supposedly Hitler was half Jewish on his fathers side who abandoned him and his mother when he was a young child. This caused him to have self hatred and he separated himself from that history and persecuted all that represented what he hated inside of him. Or so the story goes...
