G'day missurka, Thank you for your question. The song that has come closest would be "How Soon is Now" by the Smiths in 1985. My pick of the saddest song this year is the version of Forever Young by Australian band Youth Group. It was originally a hit for German band Alpaville in the 1980s. By the way, the song by Silverchair was Ana's Song written by Daniel Johns when he had anorexia. There have been a few lists of sad songs over the years. well, its a tottally lush song but, i think either hes got cancer or one of his familly has and its just a sung suicide note:
"please tell mum this is not her fault" etc
