There never were any WMD, and saddam is dead. What is the latest reason for the war in Iraq? Right wing blowhards assert we need to stay until 'the terrorists are all killed', but it seems the US occupying Iraq is what is fueling the insurgency.
Since the objectives of the war keep changing, how will we know when we 'win'?
Right wingers angrily insist we remain in Iraq, but they seem unable to give a clear picture on what the ultimate objective might be. Sorry, but 'bringing freedom to Iraq' is not a reason to fight this war.

its amazing the propaganda sold to the americans about this war, more amazing was that it was swallowed. if you don't live in america but watched the run up to the war, you get a different view. americans excel at propaganda, no one will ever take that away from them, the ability to manufacture and sell bs is just remarkable.

They've found some WMD's, but not stockpiles. The majority of them were moved to Syria and many were used in the Hezbollah war against Israel. The satellite photos showed the weapons being moved out back in 2002. Besides, that was only one of the many reasons to go to war. The 17 broken UN resolutions were the primary reasons, and since the Democrats and Republicans all voted to got to war, we really had no choice.

The war won't really stop until Congress votes to cut off the funding. Some of them talk about ending the war, but none will vote to stop the war. Typical of the many hypocrites in congress. It's so simple, just vote to defund the war. Have you talked to your political leaders about doing so? That's the quickest way to end the war, if that's what you want.

It's true that Saddam is dead and the actual combat portion of the Iraq war has been over for years, but stabilizing Iraq is difficult. They don't seem to be very good at protecting themselves from the constant influx of terrorists from Iran and Syria, and we're reluctant to get out before they can.

So to answer your question, the US plans to leave as soon as the Iraqis can defend themselves. They've been begging the soldiers not to leave them until they are prepared, but with all the pressure from the press to get out, we may end up doing so before they're ready. If we leave too soon it will result in the same kind of slaughter that happened when we pulled out of Vietnam before it was stable.

I guess we don't learn much from history, do we?

We are never leaving. Iraq is a total pooch-screw thanks in whole to BushCo. Chimpy took a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and turned it into an absolute security nightmare with no exit strategy. We'll be there indefinitely and yes, the objectives will keep on changing....."We've always been at war with Eurasia"...."We've always been at war with East Asia."

There was never a reason to invade Iraq, except Bush's target to make a big armee-base in Iraq, so he can go further, invade Europe and Russia.
I saw just recently, phisikalish proof, the world towers did not collapse for the airplanes, they where many explosions, not caused by the plane. But the destruction made very good money to some people, like Siverstein und Bush-clan. Who voted for this Idiot??

When we leave Germany.

When we leave Japan.

We have been in both of those defeated countries for more than 60 years. Let's gripe about that first!

Once a Democrat is president again.
I've heard that great Barack Obama wants
to pull them out for sure,I'd love that.
Hillary wants to do it,too.Either way,and
if no Republican interrupts, the horrible war
will certainly end.Possibly in March '08,but
too bad it can't happen now.

the thing is that both the US and IRAN are trying to take advantage og the iraqi economy, Iran has even said that they want to join with IRAQ to make a stronger state and a stronger economy, the US ain't leaving until they ensure their cut of iraqi money, short answer they wont leave until they have a strong enough chokehold on the iraqi economy
