Why is that american political leadership misleads american people in the name of external threats? Is it justified to attack sovereign nations, economically growing nations in the name of security threats or future threats? Do we think that countries like Iraq, Iran will send missiles such a long way to america to bomb this nation? Well, the history suggests that it is only american, european powers that have bombed and destroyed eastern nations in the name of security threats, etc., it is america that used atom bombs (firstly and lastly) to destroy the japanese though everybody knows and accepts atleast morally, that japan is not capable of doing viceversa. If this is the situation of the world, should not we legitimise the nations on the receiving ends to protect itself from foreign threats?

I agree. Everything you said is true and anyone who disputes it must believe that America is the only country in the world that matters and it's people are the only ones that matter. This is the problem, self righteous, spoiled, war hungry countries dictating the world for their own gain, and doing it on the backs of the poor nations who cannot defend themselves. It's as if everything you are taught as a child has been thrown out the window, and any christian who supports this is just plain full of ....

To understand "why" requires a rigorous studying in economic history, history of warfare, semiology, law, and more - but to answer "is it justified?"- absolutely not. This administration has likely done more unjustifiable things than any previous one (and believe me - politicians have done some pretty awful things). I have seen the past 7 years go by, and Bush and his cronies have gone without explaining themselves for the Iraq War, scandals at Abu Graib and Guantanamo Bay, warrentless surveillance activities, or the Scooter Libby affair, to name a few. Only recently did his Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, resign, one day after the Republican Party lost control of both the House and the Senate.
This upcoming presidential election will be the first where I am actually optimistic about the candidates - Hilary Clinton would be a great woman to have in the White House, although I think I favor Barack Obama, who just announced he will run today. He has less experience than her but seems to be more critical of Bush's actions.

I personally feel that all countries should be banned from having any Atomic Warheads, including the U.S.

First understand that for America to exist, it needs a certain amount of resouces. When these resources are threatened by foreigned dictators, they do respond. In Iraq, the resource threatened was oil. Not just from Iraq but from all the oil producers. Iraq or Saddaam was the first to suggest to the rest of the oil producing nations that they deal with transactions in Euros. This was a slap in the face to the Americans. The Americans held off for almost ten years before overthrowing the dictator. As for Iran, America needs to know that its allies are protected around the world. Iran not only harbors terrorists but the president of Iran suggests that terrorist actions against America are great. He is a terrorist and should be stopped.

I have no problem with america protecting its interests. You being from India should be happy that we are sending so many jobs to your country. I'm sure Iran is not.

Why submit such unfounded ideas in this a realm of debate!

Japan can't build nuclear bombs because it was part of the surrender! They would have if they had had the chance.

The U.S. and many other nations have signed peace treaties and nuclear treaties to not use nuclear bombs, except Iran and South Korea. These countries have no treaty holding them back. Bothered?

Iran chants every day in their prayers that America be destroyed. Are you worried? People from Afganistan were able to hi-jack airplanes on 9/11. Do you remember? What would it take for them to bring a nuclear bomb to our shores? That's what they are trying for! Are you not worried?

As a sovereign nation with many enemies, we must defend ourselves! If it be by supplanting a leader who killed his own (saddam hussein) then so be it! The axis of evil is beginning to fall.

You obviously are an anti-american and you don't even know what you are talking about? Experience is the only way you will learn. Sorry I can't turn the clock back so you could see how wrong you are about everything. All governments make mistakes, but ours is the best so Choke on it pal, embrace it and take your bigoted self and go to bed and pray we don't come there next to clean your clocks. You have not had people in your family fighting for you in WW II or I and I will bank on that notion! You are alive and well because of us. So I would rather you say thank you and go away quietly! We never asked any of you to come here and we sure won't now either. Stop attacking us and build toilets in your country, you know indoor plumbing, decent food distribution for your poor, and for God's sake stop having children when you treat them like dirt anyway and can't feed them or properly educate them as well. You know education, worldly? Open minded? And as far as Japan your God damned right we dropped that bomb and if we didnt you would not be alive today! And we are proud that we won and helped you! But we are not proud that we have to resort to third world measures because of your ignorance. Why don't you sit back and learn and then try and join the human race? Not just your race, creed, color or religion? eh? Britain was way worse in politics and wars I don't hear you talking about them now, and why not? Because you might have learned something or that they put up with your crap?
and we won't! You remind me of a whiner and then when you get enough from us you bite our hand. We are justified to do what is necessary to save our country and free others from tyranny. You know everyone wants to come to America and bring their trashy ways and push it on us? We don't need it,and we don't want it! We have a culture, but when you come here you take take take, and give us nothing in return but BS! One thing you we did was free our own nation without your help and you people have not done that you call upon us to do it for you? Then when we do you scream and hollar. Sure that is why we are paying big money to them over there! Money Money Money! And Japan is lucky we did not drop it on Tokyo eh? Russia, and Germany as well! But see we are humane, unlike those folks, we did not kill 11 million people! And we did not start all this crap either! Check our your history www.history.com and see what is real and what is only your dillusions!

President Bush has never tried ANYTHING toward becoming a dictator. Chavez lost the vote. As for what is to stop an American candidate from becoming a dictator...over 200 million citizens. Your conspiracy helmet is showing. As for your original question...Hillary is the greatest threat to democracy because she is a radical socialist. Obama is the biggest threat to national security.

If I recall, Iraq sent many Scud missiles into Israel. Why does your theory not apply to you? Israel did not attack you, nor provoke you. But yet, you fired on innocent Israeli citizens.

It's a funny thing about Muslims.... you like starting wars, but when you're getting your a** kicked, you're absolutely professionals about playing the victim and projecting blame on others.

Take responsibility for your own actions. The U.S. would gladly withdrawl from Iraq and elsewhere. Keep Islam and your radical ideas inside of your own borders, and we won't mess with you.

One question please. Oh and by the way, Japan was scared they blew this @#%$ out of Pearl Harbor and the rest of the pacific rim. They had suicide bombers called Kamikazes, they were obviously capable of a lot. Perhaps a concept that i guess the extreme Muslims learned. Americans still value their unperfect lives and the lives of every single unperfect person that get's in the way of their freedom.

Your follow-up questions pretty much answer your initial question. Fear has always been a way to control the masses and lead them to think that certain actions are justifiable. Many religions are based on fear. If there was no fear it would be necessary to invent one. The Communist fear justified all sorts of actions that had little to do with a threat but more with economic advantage and control of resources.
