the formula of the volume of a cube = (one side) ^ 3 and it has equal sides .so the measure of one side of a cube with volume 27 is : cube(or third)root of 27 that is equal to 3 .now you have the side of each square of that cube .the area of a aquare = (one side)^2
so the area of one square of that cube = 3 ^ 2 = 9 ,
and since a cube composed of six equal squares .so the total area of the cube is : 6*9 = 54
Good luck

Well ,
Volume of cube=length*breath*height (LBH)
27=3*3*3 (as in a cube all sides are equal)
Total surface area=length*breath*6 (coz it has 6 similar faces)
=3*3*6
=54 inches

The cube is 3 inches, by 3 inches by 3 inches. 3x3x3=27. (A cube, by definition has all sides equal).
So each side has a surface area of 3x3 which is 9. There are 6 sides so the surface area is 54 square inches.
And I won't make any rude remarks about you asking the question.

cubic root of 27=3, so the edge of the cube is 3
so the surface area of one side is 3*3=9, so the entire surface is 6*9=54

A cube has all edges equal. The volume is the cube of one edge. Therefore one edge is the cube root of the volume. Each face of the cube has an area = to the square of one edge. There are six faces.

piece of cake :
Volueme = 3*3*3 = 27
each side of the cube is 3
surface of one side is thus 3 * 3 = 9
total number of sides is 6 so 6*9 = 54 is the surface of the cube.
Good luck with your geometry carreer

gp4rts has the correct answer. Giving you the answer doesn't help you help anyone else or help you explain it.
Haxemon. You don't need to be rude, but doing a problem for people doesn't have anything to do with learning.
