the question remains though...will it be a sequel or a prequel.
the original idea i read was that they wanted to set it back in China and how Gizmo came about.
However despite the wonderful news, it has befallen a fate some of the best movies around have done.
Direct to video. unless they change their minds.
would yaul watch this no matter sequel or prequel?

I would prefer a Gremlin's sequel. A prequel would take the main character out of the story and put Gizmo in a less humorous setting with no American Culture to corrupt him. So definitely I go with a sequel and have the kids of the couple take care of Gizmo and get into trouble.

hmmm.....i dont really have a preference on sequel or prequel, but i dont think they should do another....the 2nd was such a disaster (so actually maybe the should do a prequel so they can create an entirely new story rather then trying to leach off of the 1st 2), the first was a childhood favorite and I hate to see it become associated with such terrible movies. espescially if it's going direct to video.....that CANNOT be good...

star wars worked for the most part, so it doesn't matter. I would probably watch it, it cant be any worse than Gremlins 2. That was dumb
