Umm try Incubus. They're good. I'm not sure if they're alternative, but I really love The Fray. The Killers? Are they alternative?
I'm not very good at genres. Basically because I like everything: rock, alternative, indie, emo, pop rock, easy listening, pop, even boy bands... :P
