I think the nation of Iraq is doomed to extinction.I don't think the Sunnis and Shia living together at all.And the Kurds really don't make any secret of the fact that they're more than ready to their own way.
As for the premise that our troops are slaughtering Iraqis without constraint, that's just false.Iraqis are killing Iraqis at a far higher rate than we ever could.
We are to blame, though, for causing the circumstances that have made this possible.

What planet does this writer live on? There are tens of millions of Iraqi's in Iraq. What is the meaning of "extinction" ? Americans are not emulating Nazi Germany, setting up death camps and exterminating people. The infrastructure of Iraq is better now than it was during the 30+ year regime of Saddam Hussein! Who do you think HAS been rebuilding Iraq? It's been the USA! Billions of dollars are being sent annually to rebuild Iraq. What the hell do you want from us? What "danger" are the Iraqi's in? Saddam Hussein is gone. The only ones killing Iraqi's are the Iraqi's themselves! Secular violence between Shi'ites and Sunni's are responsible for the multitudes of deaths in Iraq, not American bullets! Point the finger of blame in the faces of whom it needs to be pointed in. If the Iraqi's want their country secure, then secure it! They're no longer under dictatorship anymore. Stop the fighting amongst themselves, and the US will withdrawl. Whoever wrote this must live on Mars, because he certainly does not live on planet Earth!

What idiot said that? There is no Iraqi there are Arabs, and there are Persians, the Persians are in danger of losing their culture and they have been practically obliterated for the fact their country was split along time ago between Iraq and Iran. Horrible isn't it. But things change. The people there are Arabs and they are at least a billion within 21 countries and they are not in danger of being extinct, no more than the Chinese or East Indians, eh? so don't worry your little head about it. I am worried about our country and our people no matter who what where they are in race creed or color! By the way i forgot the Persians do not like the fact that they were taken over and put aside in their own country and renamed, so now what? Many persians are here and are Americans for over 50 years, you know Persian rugs? Oil people? The Shah of Iran was a Persian! They were intelligent and creative people and now look at that country and how they raised that bunch over there? Blame the Saudis damn it they are the cause of that Kohomeeni guy and all the rest along with Bush and you better believe it!

What is happening to the world??? Why would any country, government or man would do that!!!! No one has any right to have any race or nation be extinct. We're only mere instruments in this temporary world. If it is a change for good - then i'd go for it - if it is to rule for the sake of other things - id rather leave the Iraqi's of what they are used too without a dictator!

"In spring of 2003, Army Col.Alan King, who was the chief civil affairs officer attached to the invading 3rd Infantry Division, would come to the same conclusion about the powerful effect of the Desert Fox raids. "The chairman of the Iraqi atomic industry surrendered to me, and I found out that our reason for invading pretty much went away in 1998", he recalled. Most of it was destroyed by Saddam Hussein in the two years before then, when he was fearful of the revalations made by his son- in-law, Hussein Kamel, the principal director of the Iraqi weapons programs, who temporarily defected Jordan in 1995 along with other relatives, only to return to Iraq early the following year."

Lets just not abandon them to the chaos that might follow if we do abandon them. If we decide to leave them to their own devices, and there's a fraction of the population in 20 years that exists today, who will the future generation blame?

I think that's up to the Iraqi people. They've decided to turn the war against each other. If they want to kill themselves, that's their stoopidity.
