if you have what is the quality of them and do you know if they have a warranty on them. looking to buy a decent belt sander and possibly a table saw. but i dont know who chicago electric tools are. i think its harbor freight that markets chicago electric tools.

I have looked at the chicago electric tools at harbor freight. Then went to elsewhere and bought delta, ryobi, milwaukee makita. I believe they are ok, however I have a belief that you pay for what you get and have in the past bought some low price tools that turned out to be a lousy investment. I have owned and been using a craftsman 10" table saw for over 25 years. Recently we built a log home and my son brought over his little Ryobi portable table saw and with a good blade in it, I was really impressed with the quality and operation. I personally would go with quality not low price.

Harbor Freight is making sometimes good tools but they are not the top of the line like Milwaukee or in the case of a table saw like the top of Black and Decker's line of saws. I just bought a very good table saw and it's the Black & Decker line. It really surprised me because I have never bought B & D that much before. All my power hand tools are Milwaukee or Makita. I love my table saw because it has such a large worktable around the saw. The motor is a 4 HP and it really goes without slowing or binding. You just have to be careful and keep you stock against the gate. That's another thing about buying a good table saw. Make sure your gate will only lock down in a straight position and not ******. Have a decent worktable on top so your work doesn't fall off as your working. I slowly built up my tools using returns or items from Lowes, which were marked way, way down. I bought 2 tile saws that were priced new for nearly eight hundred for the both and I got them for $75.00 each. There was absolutely nothing wrong with either of them. They had been used once. I bought an upright band saw that was originally priced at over $300.00 for $99.00 because someone had unscrewed the nut, which tightens the blade down. When I got it home, I investigated and found it, put it back on and it works perfect. Same with the Drill Press I got from them. Simple little problems and they sell the items for much less than their normal price. You can in some cases name your own price your willing to give them. I'll probably sell one of my wet saws when I get out there. I just moved and all is a mess.

I have seen these tools at Harbor Freight but have not used them. I think I would stick with names you recognize, DeWalt, Makita, Bosch, Craftsman.

The cordless drill is overrated. I would stay with name brands you know like Delta, Milwaukee, Ryobi, etc.
