I never hear about women using that method.

If some rapist/crazy-man found himself standing there with some woman's unexpectedly limp, lifeless body as opposed to a kicking, screaming potential victim, seems to me that he'd sprint like hell getting outta there as fast as possible (if the attack occurred in public and not in a private home).

Then, if the attacker decided to keep going, with a limp woman's body and all, the woman, after pretending to be passed out for 20-30 seconds, could attack back once his guard is let down a little and maybe get away, cuz he wouldn't be expecting her to spring to life all of a sudden.

Do ya'll think this technique is acceptable?

He certainly would not run like hell if they fainted, many rapists will try and gag their victims knock them unconscious, having a struggling woman is a lot harder to rape than one that is unconscious, vulnerable and defenseless.
It simply gives them more of a reason to go ahead with it, they don't have the possibility of being kicked in the face, bitten, scratched and most of all they won't be screaming and drawing attention.
If you go limp and pretend to faint you give them time to put their whole body weight on you and get into a position so that if you "wake up" they will have you pinned down.

Many rapists use date rape drugs for this reason so really if you pass out they have time to tie you up or just get on with business uninterrupted and unscathed.

Kick scratch bite scream and try and run like hell never play dead or things may only get a lot worse.

If she just passed out or fainted, if the rapist was caught at a later date, he could argue that because she didn't resist, it was a consensual act. Screwed up, but that's how they could claim it.

Also, don't you think it would be easier for the guy to rape her if she offered no resistance? If you go down without a fight, then the guy doesn't have to worry about crap. It's not like you're going to play dead and lose a heartbeat or anything if you do pass out, and the guy probably doesn't care if you're conscious or not, so it's all the same to him.

"Do ya'll think this technique is acceptable?"
No, it ain't doable. We are not hardwired to engage in this defensive behavior (as certain snake species, for example, are). We are hardwired only for flight and fight response. "Play dead" is not included in our natural repetoire of behaviors. Because this behavior is not natural, I doubt if even a highly trained, well-rehearsed actor could pull it off convincingly absolutely without advance notice to "psyche up"/"get into character", in the heat of the moment, with the person's sympathetic nervous system turned on 'HIGH" .

Besides, most rape victims know their attackers and go about things very differently to the scenario you implicitly suggest above. Not very realistic, sorry.

Some rapists might actually like a limp woman who doesn't fight. They still get what they want. You are assuming that a rapist actually cares whether he's hurt a woman or not.

From what I learned in self-defense class. If you are already subdued you could force yourself to vomit or wet or soil yourself. That might disgust the rapist enough to leave you alone.

Women defend and protect their chastity as a matter of instinct.
