You would have felt guilty if you had called in sick, huh....
So, either way, guilt's a big elephant in your room.

At least your attendance record didn't get "a mark" on it. It's up to your co-worker to shield himself as best as he can against getting a cold. I'm sure you didn't intentionally slobber on him or sneeze on his fingers.

I feel guilty over stuff like that too. He'll recover. I'm sure he's not stabbing voodoo dolls of you over this. If he is blaming you, tell him to call in sick so he doesn't re-infect you ....'as you'd like to get over this cold as soon as possible' (ha ha ha) (just kidding)

Besides, how do you know it wasn't the Fed Ex guy who gave it to both of you. Or maybe it was the temp. When all else fails, blame the temp (ha ha)

Answer is: No. Stop feeling guilty. It takes practice and it's a tough habit to overcome (feeling guilty), but guilt over less-than-monumental-things is a total waste of precious energy.

No guilt.
There are about 80 colds out there. Once you catch one, you usually can't get that one again.

So you just saved him having that cold while he on the cruise next month, scuba diving in the Bahamas, with all his good friends, having the best time of his life. (without that cold)

He should thank you.
