I've always been interested in the graphic designer profession... but I was wondering, are actual courses needed in order to become one?

I've been using Photoshop and Illustrator for quite some time now and I feel that I'm quite experienced in creating graphics (I've created avatars, banners, wallpapers, etc.). I've also put my skills to use for my school, such as creating the graphic portion of the website. I've also made brochures for a school-run tournament.

So are any courses actually required in order to be a "graphic designer"?

I am also interested in graphic design. I don't think most people would not hire us without a degree in graphic design. So, I'm waiting until I go back to school.

you just need creativity and idea to use tools.
