Ford is listed on the NYSE. GM too. Delta and UAL were listed but they finally went bankrupt.

Its not so easy but by the way of manupulation of books of account and submition of papers any company can listed in any stock exchange.The management people of stock exchange only look yhe papers produse to them which after satisfaction gives permission for IPO.

Companies sell stock or ownership in themselves to raise capital for whatever reason. The people who buy the stock do so in anticipation of the value of the stock going up and maybe for dividends issued by the company selling the stock. How can the value of the company (not-for-profit) and its stock go up if they have no profits beyond those needed to maintain and maybe expand the services they provide.

No, because non-profit corporations are non-stock entities. No one owns them and they can't sell stock because they are not authorized to issue stock under the federal and state securities law.
