A beta website basically implies that the technical/development team are still in the process of making/completing/debugging the website and so the user should not necessarily expect the site to function perfectly. Once they are convinced about the website working properly, they remove the beta tag.

Hi! Beta is a term used for websites and software that are still in the development\testing stage. Generally all the links and pages will work. However you could easily run into bugs or glitches and should always be ready for this to happen. Beta's are entirely safe to use.

The website is in a testing phase if it's "Beta" and sometimes might go down or have problems. When it's Live, or a regular site, everything critical on the site should work without a hitch.

Regular Website is an site which is updated regularly and is now completed and finished.

Beta site means the site is under construction or is put on the servers for test only but is not completely finished.

beta usuall;ly means that it is a version of the website prior to the final website.

but i can mean other things as well, for instance its a website for people with a beta background ( technicians, math people, computerfreaks , nerds, geeks etc)

the term "beta" just means that it is in testing, and not officially launched. Mostly, software is known to have beta versions, but also websites. this just means they are looking at re-vamping the website, or are currently putting it together and is not ready for the cosumer yet.

hope this helps.

beta is not the final version of something. There is still work to be done with it.

Similar to software, web sites have testing phases.

Alpha: In-house testing
Beta: Public testing - please contact admin for problems&suggestions.
