I soak it first, it comes off more easily like that.

Do it the pain-free way. Just soak it with warm water and it will just come off and you can clean the glue off too.

I wait till I take a shower or bath, it comes off with out any pain.

It really depends on how much pain you can stand.
I prefer to let it get washed off. Less pain.
