Yes, of course they can. I have had many platonic relationships with guys throughout my life, and still have many now! The problems arise if either you or the guy start fancying each other. Then the whole relationship changes, and can be ruined. But that doesn't mean to say men and women can't just be friends and anyone who says it's not possible just hasn't lived long enough to experience it yet.

they can, but it depends on ur history with the person. if there's been a 'more than friends' relationship then it's more difficult but i reckon guys and gals can be 'just friends'!
