Folliculitis. Perfectly normal. It's where the follicles of the hair have become infected. You can tell the difference between a pimple and folliculitis, as the folliculitis has a hair in the middle.
There is also a form of minor folliculitis called razor burn. They are little lumps. Both types are quite itchy, but if it gets really bad, then see a doctor.
But because you actually shave off more skin than hair, you might have just nicked the skin a bit.

Instead of using soap or shave gel try using a feminine wash gel such as summers eve. This is gentle and made for that region. After you shave, it might help to apply a little cream such as destitin or aloe to sooth the skin. You should use a new razor and shave more often (wait until the bumps are gone to shave again or it will get worse)... Yes, this is normal. You just have sensitive skin. You will adjust. I don't suggest NOT shaving, cause that is just dirty, but use milder products on yourself.

I've had the razor burn dots before, if they continue to be a problem contact your dr but they do usually go away very quickly.
I try to shave most of the time at the preference of my gyn but b/c of a situation I have going right now in that area I have to keep it shaved to make it easier for the drs I will soon be seeing to look at the area.

Ok, they will go away - that is the good thing. If you are shaving the netherregions again 1st - before you do buy some Bikini Zone - you will have no irratiation. Use a new razor, shave away and then apply a bit of the Bikini Zone - My sisters and I swear by the stuff!

Don't worry, that's perfectly normal. The red dots come up because your skin has been irritated. It may help if you spread some cream on it, but even if you don't, the red dots will be gone in about a day or even less.

It's Razor Burn. It will go away. Next time you go to shave get some Coochy cream first (yes! That is the name of the cream itself) It's the best stuff ever! I get mine from my local Priscilla's shop, I can't find it anywhere else. It is great for shaving in that area, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Next time you need to shave down there use Magic Shaving Powder. I swear its the best investment ever. Had no razor burn or itching at all with it. You can get it at CVS or similar type store.

that is razor rash because you probably weren't using a BRAND NEW Razor, You need to make sure it's new so it isn't dull and won't irritate your skin and use alot of shaving cream to protect your skin from getting little cuts, And you shouldn't be worried they will go away in a day or two.

I see so much of girls shaving their pubic area, what is going on, do men all like to see little girl type or what is your purpose. Very easy to just trim for swimming etc and very easy to keep clean. Just leave well enough alone, be a real woman. your not a little girl any more.

i shave too and those red dots could be irratation from the razor. make sure to shave downwards first and then against the grain and afterward, apply witchhazel to soothe your skin. also, don't put any scented lotion on the area, it will cause further irratation.
