but is that the EXACT same phrase used in Bruce Campbell's 'Evil Dead' and 'Army of Darkness' movies? I have a small wager riding on this one... my son says the words are slightly different. Does anyone know absolutely for sure? Thank you.

The magic words Ash must use to claim the Book of the Dead are "Clatto Verata Nicto" - a reference to "Klaatu, Barada, Nikto", the words used to command the robot Gort in The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951).

The pharase was originally from the film The Day The Earth Stood Still, a 1951 sci-fi movie. It was the phrase used by the alien to control the robot Gort that guarded his ship.

I belive that it is only a made up word, designed to sound ominous. you are able to assume, in accordance to what Gort makes a call after the word is spoken, that it must have informed Gort to no longer ruin the persons who shot Klaatu.
