I immigrated here to the US, and no one seems to hate me. I get nasty looks in the grocer's once in a while for using Swedish instead of English if I'm with any of my family members, but I just ignore it. It's probably not their fault they only know one language and then I know I can talk about them without them knowing what I'm saying!
If you do a good job of assimilating into the culture, no one should hate you for immigrating here. After all, this IS a nation of immigrants! Most large cities have many cultures co-existing. When we're in public, we're all Americans. But when we go home, I'm Swedish again and my neighbor is whatever she is. Most people seem to be very tolerant in the cities. At least, they are for me!
Oh, bring lots of cash. It's expensive in the big cities, and the smaller towns don't have a lot of jobs.

we in America only wish that all people could see the true story of Ellis island and the transformation of immigration & our own nation has changed, there was never enough money, so if you come here be perpared to try and move the same mountain that we did, there is life in being one of us and there is good reasons to be here, there is only us here in america and then the rest wish they had the freedoms we do, hate your own ignorances and achieve your own greatness will take up enough time to secure a dystiny of your quality and ours, ask and u shall recieve, roll up hill on us and bytech wouldn't go over good

I'm American.
I don't care if you immigrate.
Just have a job, don't mooch off the system, don't try to change our social ways out of respect to "diversity, and tolerance", and learn English.
If you do that (what is expected when you immigrate to any nation) then I will be happy and wont give one flying **** what you do here.

Welcome to America. Get your paper work started. It will probably take time with the way thing are with the tight security since 9/11.
No one would hate you, if you fit into society. Oh, yes . . . . there are some weirdos here just like there is in every country. We just ignore them.
