It was a great movie, it won 21 awards and another 8 nominations.
It was a very sad love story.

A list of mistakes made in the movie:
Background music while Tita and Nacha are cooking in the kitchen tells the story of a car breakdown.
At Esperanza's wedding to Alex Brown, the groom is shown opening a bottle of André Champagne, complete with plastic cork, in 1934 long before this product was available.
When Rosaura is dead from severe gastrointestinal problems, you can see her chest go up and down as the actress is breathing.
A supposedly dead Nacha can be seen breathing. Her chest rises and falls.

yeah...it was a pretty good movie. The book is even better...it's by Laura Esquivel and is a pretty quick read.
