My Mom's school district segregated "Mexicans" into different schools than everyone else. In fact, this went to trial in 1945 as Mendez vs. Westminster (California) School Board, and was the civil rights precadent for Brown v. The Board of Education.

I actually went to a segregated school in the first grade. It was at the end of segregation in my state. I'm only 42. After starting second grade and going to a school that was mixed, I never understood why they were segregated in the first place. I still dont. But I'm not and never have been racist against anyone.

No but we did not have any "black people" move into our area until just recently. Probably the last 15-20 years. I think right now we only have about 5 families in our community and only 1 couple are both black and the rest are mixed. My son is in the same class(4th grade) as one of the children and they seem to get along just fine. One of my good friends was black before we moved to this town 20 years ago. Every race has people that are good and every race has people that are bad. You can't judge a person by race!!!

What some of us have a hard time with is 35 yrs of Affirmative Action perks, Oprah and Cosby among the richest people in the US, black mayors in every major city in the US, black multi-millionaires in sports and entertainment and the attitude that slavery, or in your case, segregation, ended yesterday.

Wow. i did no longer comprehend racism replace into back. Why do no longer they segregate the pupils into communities that choose greater advantageous help and those that don't? shade has no longer something to do with it. human beings basically assume blacks will fail so they do no longer attempt. they might desire to take shipping of a few credit. Segregation basically ruins any threat.

When my parents went to schools they were desegregated but people still went to segregated schools I don't think they had one black person in the school. The schools now are practically segregated.
