remember the sound of a truck hood slamming, the kind on springs that you had to open with both hands and possibly another person because they were so heavy. lava lamps that were made from metal and didnt look cheap. those of you who grew up from the 20's to the 70's know what i'm talking about. what do you miss? or anything else, like vinyl albums, 8 track tapes, just anything that isnt around now. or is made cheaply now and sold for an outrageous price.

I miss my mom and dad from those days. But the metal era is over, to many people and we have to make money, thats why we use plastic. Plastic does not last and therefore drive up the demand for new things. Like my daddy used to say, there will be a day thats worse then hell, right here on earth, did i mention he was in hospital before they took him away to heaven, mental hospital that is.

Money used to have a real cool ring to it. Now it just has a wimpy sound. Sounds fake.

And the french fires Carl's Jr. used to serve.

And the place I used to to go backpacking, now called Irvine, California, home to a bazillion people. (Talk about metal to plastic, nothing beat the WWII surplus metal canteens on a camping trip!)
