How do I get rid of them?

It sounds like you might be infected with spyware rather than the actual porn sites (unless, of course, you really have visited and downloaded porn.) This is how some companies scare people into using/buying their product. I'd scan my entire system with a couple of antivirus and antispyware programs. There's a lot of free utilities available. This previous Y!A gives a few but feel free to do your own search:

If the notices continue, try to find out the name of the company that's sending them. (Within the notice, a blue title bar at the top of the notice, at the bottom of your screen in the status bar, etc.) Look through your add/remove programs (start > control panel > add/remove) just in case they installed some kind of utility. You could also check your program menu and all sub-menus (start > programs). If you find a program you could delete it.

If all else fails, you might consider a reformat and reinstall of your operating system. The usual guideline to backup all your files and then reinstall isn't such a good idea because if you do have hidden malware, you'd just be reinstalling on a clean system. So make sure you have all your various program install disks or web addresses to re-download.
