The square root of 64 is 8 and the square root of 81 is 9.

So the square root of 66 is just a little more than 8. Roughly 8 and 2/17ths.

Of course, if you want the exact answer you can use a calculator but I assumed you were looking for a method more than someone using the calculator.

66 is not a perfect square. But if you insist of finding out the answer is 8.12

I presume you want it in radical form first.
Here is a fallacy that must have crossed your mind::
Sq. Rt. (66) = Sq. Rt (64) + Sq. Rt(2)
Sq, Rt. (64) = 8
Sq, Rt. (2) = 1.4142
Therefore:
Sq. Rt. (66) = 8 + 1.4142 = 9.4142
Using a calculator (Sq. Rt. key):
Sq. Rt. (66) = 8.1240

I know why you ask this , it seems not to be on the windows
calculator. Howeever it is . you chould check the Inv checkbox and then press x^2 ( the Inv erse of x^2 is sqrt )
