Since cricket is a game of uncertainties nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcome of a tournament in advance. India along with Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, pakistan, West Indies, New Zeland and England have chance to win the world cup.

South Africa -
Not only are they ranked second in the world they have proved in the games leading up to the world cup that they can really tore apart a bowling lineup.
They scored close to 400 runs against Pakistan a week or so ago and yesterday limited Pakistan to just over 100 runs in 50 overs.
The batting line up is good with the number 8 a good batsman in any terms and nr 7 with 100's under his belt.
The bowling is better with a performance like yesterday against Pakistan (Pollock 2wickets for 13 in 10 overs)

I think Sri Lanka will win the World Cup because it is only Sri Lanka whose players never play for themselves or for records. Even today in the one dayer in Rajkot, Sangkara, whom I think is presently is the world's best batsman, hit a six when he was on 97! When you have batsmen like Sangkara, Jayewardane, Jayasurya,Attapatu... and bowlers like Muaralitharan, Vaas, and Mahroof then anything can happen.
India has the world's best batsmen as a team, but I think our bowlers will be hammered with the exception of Harbhajan. I rank India as second.
I rank Australia as the third because they play horribly under pressure. However, they do have Ponting.

World cricket is a FOOLS PARADICE anything may happen. Except India all other team humbly say they are participating but only India is barking with louad voice. From the mouth of Sreeshanth's family we can here his only concern is to get world cup to India I think no one will day dream like that.THERE IS A GREAT SAYING 'BARKING DOGS SELDOM BITES'

I surely have little question that Pakistan won't be able to lose a unmarried tournament interior the experience will win the international cup handsomely. India and Australia at the instantaneous are not even going to attain the semis.
