The best place to find cheats for Sims 2 games is the web site www.thesims2.com. I do searches there in the message board area and they practically have the whole stradegy guide in there depending on the cheats you want.

My favorite cheats are:
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true this allows you to do all sorts of things with your sims. keep them up all night or starve and kill them quickly.

if you click on a sims character (I believe left click) I love spawning the tombstone of life and death. It makes it easier for your sims to get pregnant and even lets you add someone to the family and speed up pregnancies. BTW if you eat cheese cake while pregnant you get twins.

vsync off does something with the graphics which makes my game run smoother.

There are more but those are the only two I use.
