I asked my grandmother what I should get my wife for our first anniverary. She said, "A woman could always use something for the house....get her a broom". Would I be divorced if I had listened?
Just wanted to lighten things up a bit here.

She was a wonderful lady but not all her advice fit the times....my wife thought it was hilarious....she's wonderful too.

haha!! If my husband got me a broom then I would HAVE to hit him with it! :) And chase him around the house with it every time he did something that annoyed me! I would have to bap him upside the head....hahahah!! thanks for that imagery, I will be giggling for days at that thought.

if you married a woman with a sense of humor, i doubt you'd be getting divorced however, if you married someone without one, uh oh...could be trouble!

If I had listened to my grandmother, I wouldn't have any children right now.... I have two beautiful daughters and wouldn't change a thing. Oh Yeah, I was 22 and 23 when having them..

As far as the broom, oh heck no........ Don't you dare. LOL LOL LOL I assume you didn't get the broom though. Good husband.

LOL. That's hilarious.
Yeah, don't get her a broom unless you want divorce papers in return.
You should tell your wife what the grandmother had said, though. It'll give her a good laugh.

Ha ha ha a good one. She could always hit you with it or sweep you out the door. On the other hand it is hard to find a really good broom. If you offered to use it then you might have a winner there.

It's really a good one for an old married couple, with kids who use the broom for outside activities(on trampoline--see how it flies) I have lost two in a 6mo span..hmm,you would not even believe me if I tried to explain...
Just be sure it is a chocolate broom.lol

Put the broom back in the closet where it belongs.

No. In fact, we women adore getting things like brooms, pots and pans, sports videos, sewing kits, cook books especially with catchy titles like 'cooking for your man'.

If my husband got me a broom, I'd be very upset, it's just so unromantic and unthoughtful.

I should have given my first wife a broom, maybe she would have flown away sooner. [joking]
