Where is the best place to live in fla to be away from Hurricanes?

Underground. Really, all of Florida is susceptible to hurricanes. Get a home with a storm shelter to be safe.

Nowhere in the the entire Southeast or eastern coast is entirely safe as hurricanes are very unpredictable. In 1972 I lived in the Pittsburgh PA area and was flooded out by hurricane Agnes. If you want to live free from hurricanes ,tornado's, earthquakes, blizzards, and sand storms, move to another planet.

Florida is a peninsula mostly, and what isn't is just a small strip of land. All of it's vulnerable to hurricanes. If you move to Florida, find a good friend in the middle of Georgia or Alabama to evacuate to if a hurricane warning is issued.

Tallahassee, FL is a really nice place. My in laws have lived there for 6 years and has never been through a hurricane just heavy rains.

Of all storms that hit the US, 40% hit Florida. There is no one place in Florida that has not felt the effects of a Hurricane.

silly, there is no place in florida "away from hurricanes". florida is right in the middle of hurricane alley. wanna stay away from hurricanes, move to north dakota. there is no record of any hurricane at any time in north dakota, problem solved.
