Feeling clean=feeling pretty! Well for starters it really helped me when I started using tampons instead of pads, you just feel cleaner, which makes you feel prettier. Everytime you use the bathroom and/or change a pad or tampon, use some feminene wipes (they are like baby wipes kinda, always in the same aisle in the store) and use those after using toilet paper... it helps inbetween showers. Use FDS deodarant spray if you are still worried about oder after doing this. Shower daily, maybe even twice daily so that you always feel shower fresh... that really helps. For some reason my skin gets smoother and prettier once my period begins.. and my bloating goes away and my tummy gets flatter, so I feel prettier that way. I wear an outfit that makes me feel good... fix my hair and make up nice. Go out to a restaurant you enjoy with friends... or icecream or coffee or whatever is a special treat... go to a movie, you dont have to talk to anyone during it and can relax. I DO take a nice relaxing bubble bath sometimes, but I understand you dont want to...I didnt appreciate that until my middle 20's. If I am at home alone, i like to do that, put on my robe, light a candle, have a glass wine (if youre over 21!) and a special dessert, watch a favorite movie.... I just highly suggest tampons... I know before i got on birth control my periods were so heavy the first day or two and using pads makes you feel so gross!!! Using tampons is great once your use to them! SOOO much cleaner that you FORGET you are on your period!

Here's what I do. First, I take a long, STEAMY hot shower. While in the shower, I use my Intuition razor and get that done because it's very quick. I then use soap, rinse, and then use one of my perfume sets. At the moment, it's Celine Dion's Belong. That's the one I'm working on now. I get out. Pat myself dry so my skin won't dry out. Apply the Belong lotion. Not quickly. Just relaxed. I then spritz my body with the perfume. I wear something comfortable, yet stylish, that shows off my figure. I then use my foot spa and soak my feet in a peppermint foot wash for about 15 minutes in warm to hot water. I towel dry my feet and then apply a foot scrubbing cream and rub that all over. The little beads feel good massaging my feet. Then I rinse my feet in the wash, towel dry again, and apply the peppermint lotion all over my feet. All the while my hair is still wrapped up in my towel. I use my Biore warming face mask while I'm doing this, too. Then I do my nails. French Manicure. Natural colors. You can play relaxing music or whatever suits you as you do this. Then go shopping. I guarantee, you will feel more relaxed than any other time during the month. That has always worked for me.

Get a massage oil made with heating essential oils such as ginger, rosemary, or marjoram. Then get a hot water bottle, from a drugstore. Rub the oil on your belly and cover it with the hot water belly and lay back in your favorite place and feel the soothing warmth. Eat some high quality dark chocolate, not junky chocolate like snickers bars. Drink some herbal tea of raspberry leaves, crampbark, ginger, and orange peels. Get in a squat position and if you're a crazy hippie like me bleed into the earth and let it remind you of your power as a woman and your connection to the earth. If that is too weird squat anyway because it feels good during moon time. Give yourself a facial mask or steam, especially if your skin gets disrupted during these times. Eat fresh salads of fruits and vegetables.

Put some candles in your bathroom, bring a CD player and your favorite relaxing music (not too close to the tub mind you!), a cup of tea or a nice glass of wine, maybe even a book you've wanted to read and take a nice bath with some fragrance you love. Give yourself a facial, a hair treatment and put on your favorite pj's. You might even slip out and get yourself some flowers (before your relaxing bath) to put by your bed when you go to sleep. It's such a treat to wake up to flowers. It's also nice to put some nice moisturizer on your hands and feet before bed so you wake up feeling soft and smelling nice.

Just pretend you don't have it. Exercise A LOT. Make your body feel the pain. Afterall, it dserves it for making you feel like crap. Personally, I like pushing my self so hard that I feel like throwing up.
