What is wrong with cards? Or Astrology in general?

I believe in these things...no, I'm not a satinist, I'm a very spiritual person, but I would like to know why "momma says its the devil"(sandler)? If you have a lagitimate answer, please respond. And No, "Because its DEMONIC" is not an answer, it is just a weak statement to replace a persons lack of knowledge or understanding about the topic. I'm asking for real answers, not blind ignorance.

i dont' think it's wrong and i think it's very intelligent but many people don't want to be educated about it so they dismiss it as bull corn.

On what you ask about the key word is "believe". This is required like a religion, but some claim it to be science. Then it something that requires evidence that can and has been tested. And they have failed.

Astrology uses science but is NOT A SCIENCE. Look in the science section of a library or book store and you will not find astrology books there. You will find astronomy a legit science that came from astrology but that's where it ends.
If you took science in school there is something called "the Scientific Method"

The Scientific Method is the best way yet discovered for winnowing the truth from lies and delusion. The simple version looks something like this:

1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.
3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.

When consistency is obtained the hypothesis becomes a theory and provides a coherent set of propositions which explain a class of phenomena. A theory is then a framework within which observations are explained and predictions are made.

Consistency is crucial for science while in astrology there is none. We all have access to the same Internet; so take the time and look at both sides. Remember those that make claims must provide the proof. It is not for me or others to disprove. Valid test results would be like building the better mouse trap. Choose to know rather than blindly "believe" when ever possible. Question everything.

Many people afraid of these things because they can't understand them.They seem to think it's a replacement - something to worship or something. Sometimes if you can explain it's not a belief system but a way to look at yourself and your life to see it from another point of view to get some clarity it might help. Who made the stars but god! It's examining Hid creations to understand more about the world and yourself. Believe me I know where you're coming from. I've had an interest in these things since I was a teenager and my Dad was a pastor and told me how wrong they were. When I got older I went back to them and find a lot of help and guidance in them. My sister is a very strict Christian and thinks I hate God or have had a had a bad experience with religion. My only bad experience is having so many Christians tell me how I should live my life when I'm not bothering them! LOL In my experience most Christians live a fear filled life and that's why they like religion. It's very black and white and they have rules to follow but we know life isn't like that. It's constantly changing and the trick is learning to go with it and change as needed to manage your life. It how you learn about yourself!

These things are real and valid.

There are many things used over the millenia for divination. The Tarot is more than just a deck of cards for telling the future. One can study it for decades and still just touch the tip of the iceberg.


Astrology is an ancient science. It was not until the invention of "science" that astrology and astronomy were separated. It is now a popular diversion/divining tool today. We see it incorporated into our daily life now, in the media.

Many satanists and demonologists have used dark arts to bring about some terrible events. But for the most part people today only dabble. It is more for amusement. But it has ancient roods and, like the cards, uses ancient symbols.

The cards are wonderful for meditation. They are an excellent way to begin to comprehend symbols.

However, when it comes to true divination, the diviner needs no tools, no cards, nothing. These are just used to help the seeker focus and understand. When my sister was being taught by a very wise man,she read the cards beautifully. He said to her,
"Very good my child. Now do it without the cards."

Do not, however, even think of going near Ouija boards. they are truly dangerous for youngsters.
