I I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I'm starting to lose interest in everything I do. I'm losing interest in the people I usually hang out with. It seems that all I want to do is be on my own and I feel bad because I dont know what to do about it. I'm starting not to care about anything. Like it's just whatever. i'm not sure what to do....

I am 19 years old and I guess you can say that I have a history of depression. I've been depressed since I was 12. However, it worsen when I was about 15. I've been dealing with it ever since and I tried to get help but nothing seem to work. Strangely enough, over the summer, I wasn't depressed for about 2 months. It was the first time that I've felt 'happy and alive'..... now i'm starting to be depressed again. I like new things and I get bored of old things and i guess people as well. It's one of the reasons why i dont really have any close friends. I mean I dont mind because I like my own company. I can't really control how I'm feeling now.

I also wanted to add that I get bored of people because I'm afraid to get close to people to prevent me from getting hurt. I've been let down in the past numerous time, so I kind of want to avoid that at all cost.

maybe you have depression. a lot of people have it and don't realize it or even don't want to admit it. I have it and what your describing is exactly what happened to me. Sometimes just talking with someone who will just listen helps. And in some cases medicine helps. It did for me. what I take is nothing strong but it did help take that bad feeling away and I also became interested in all of the things that I lost motivation for. It can't hurt telling your doctor whats been happening. I simply go to my family doctor for my depression and that's all the help that I need. This may be the same for you. Why don't you give it a try? Like I said before, I can't hurt and it could help you,. You never know. You can IM me if you want. I've had depression since I was 16 and I'm now 29. I know all there is to know about it. I'm also a very good listener, plus sometimes it's easier to tell a stranger what your feeling rather than family or close friends. Well good luck and I'm here if you need me! LOL:)

so many things could be causing this....all above are syptoms of depression. IF you live in a northern climate, beleive it or not, as shortage of sun can cause some people to go into this...they have special glasses with lights to cure this.
If you are on any meds, you are having baaaad reations to them..see your doctor immediately. This can be serious.
If you are not challenged, you may be a person who bores easily, and being bored can be very depressing. Day in and day out being the same is a rut that becomes depressing to anyone.
Hang in there, if things do not change very soon, talk to your parents if you are young, or see a shrink if you are not. In any case, this is NOT normal behavior, regardless of what anyone says.

Hi Leobaby, Sounds like you are depressed. The way you have say things is the signs of depression. You need to go and seer counseling. That way you care find out what is causing you to feel this way. Have you been under a lot of stress lately? If you have that is what the problem is. You need to find out who is causing the stress and stay far away from what ever or who ever. I hope you start feeling better soon. A Friend Who Has Been There.

Yup. They are signs of depression. The first thing you are supposed to do is go see your family medical doctor to describe how your feeling and how long you've felt that way. The doctor will take it from there.
But astrologically - mercury is beginning its retrograde. That causes communication and planning problems. It is a good idea to limit your communications, have back up plans, and just generally take it easy about things not going right.

We all go through periods like that. In fact I feel like I just got out of one. Humans tend to live in cycles, we're happy and content for awhile and eventually we tend to become more reserved and such, especially around this time of year. Trust me, from experience, I can tell you for sure that you're not the only one who's gone through this. There's nothing wrong with you.

have you recently started taking any new medication...like in the last mth or so because sometimes that can cause the no-care attitude. You might want to speak to a counselor about it...just to see what might be going on.
