when i turned on my comp, it says it had to do disk checking.

note: it was on my old computer.

You get this when your computer shuts down improperly, either by you or it looses power.

go to my computer, then right click the Local c:/ icon and select properties. click the tools tab and you will see a button that says check for disk errors click it and it will say that it will check for errors the next time the system restarts. when you do this, it takes a long time to finish, just alittle warning. so start and go to the mall or something

its nothing bad, im guessing you hit the "disk check" button under your control panel, and didn't mean to. your ok, your computer is ok too!

--go to the drive which has your operating system like C drive,etc.
--then go to the windows folder
--then in the windows folder,u will find a folder named system32
--go to that folder
--in this folder u will find a program named ChkDsk
--double click the program which is the checkdisk utility.
Note:This is for Xp.
For others:-Search ur pc for Chkdsk and u will find it.

maybe a floppy disk is in the drive.
or defragment your computer.
