Google PNAC and find out who these guys are. Hint they've all been around since Reagan first started talking about "the New World Order" in the 1980's.

Only about 15-20% of american voters are informed about the issues and just 3% of those are actively involved in pressure groups/ Therein lies your answer. Most voting decisions are made on sound bites and slogans. Madison Avenue and Karl "Goebbels" Rove rule. If that is democracy then I am the president.

Name calling does little to promote discussion, and making up derogatory words pertaining to ones intended adversaries, isn't a method that engenders understanding. The White House is now being run by Republicans because George W. Bush received more electoral votes than did his opponents. Unless he resigns or is successfully impeached, (Extremely unlikely at the moment), his administration will be running things for just over 23 more months.

We re-elected GW because at the IMMEDIATE time of the election he seemed much more Charismatic and qualified than Kerry. I personally felt that Kerry was much more self serving and the greater of two evils when I cast my vote... we all make mistakes, get over it.
I hope you didn't lose any sleep coining a new word. :-P LOL

Your choice of symbols says much about you and your reasons for hating the Republican Party.
The short answer is that President George W. Bush won two presidential elections.

Because I voted for them.
Who in their right mind voted for Nancy Pelosi? It sounds like a foot disorder.

I'm sure you're too young to remember, but about two years ago all the grownups (well, about 60% of them) got together and "voted".
The "Republicans" won a majority of the votes in the "electoral college", and President Bush was "reelected".

I like that, I'm tired of seeing "Libtard" used left and right.
Well, to answer your question...referenda such as the gay marriage ammendment were placed on the ballot in many swing states during the 2004 election (intentional, you know). This mobilized the religous right and the evangelicals to get to the polls, as they are VERY scared of all the scary gay people. That and Fox News' brainwashing and agenda confusing collaborated for the continued mess we are in.
Wake up Christians...you are being used!
