Besides physically being at your computer, firewalls and anti-virus programs are usually enough... although you should also run a anti-spyware program every once in a while (www.download.com, get ad-aware or something like it). Other than that, you'd have to download certain malicious programs or have a skilled hacker break your firewall to see your information.

You have 3 options.
1. Set up a "FTP Server"
2. Set up a "HTTP Server"
3. Set up Windows Folder Shares
Then
1. Be aware of the SEVERE SECURITY risks.
2. Remember you can physically break the connection of your server (the ethernet cord) if you feel security is at risk.

Those do not keep people inside your house from finding things you think are hidden.
There also sites that are phishing. They create a site that looks just like Bank of America and you imput information and they can access your stuff from there.
It is best to consider that everything on your pc is seeable by someone , then you don't need to worry.

There is one way to do that.You need to install a software called TIGHT VNC which is free.Then install this software on the other computer too.Then u both can connect through this software and view each others computer.

well then they can't , they can check to see what ports are open and try to get in, but go for a router more safe then software firewalls dlink 604
