I am not an adult (well is 18 techinically adult?), but when I was in highschool, I got treated like crap from adults. I was a great kid, with a 4.0 gpa, polite, and said my pleases, may i's, and thank you's!! and yet, whenever i go into a small shop or what not, the owner follows me around thinking that i'm going to steal!!!! it that the image that we really have? it makes me really sad to think that so many stereotype the entire population of teens, when they don't even get to know the person.
Once, i held the door open for an elderly lady and she looked SHOCKED... cmon guys, let's show them that we're not all trash.

I think they are perfectly fine; most are intelligent, aware thinking human beings. But I also look past the outter appearance and seethe kid inside.

Most people probably think of teenagers like My Chemical Romance's song, Teenagers - I love their sacrcastic approach and social commentary. They hit the nail on the head.

Look up the lyrics - i can't post them here without someone throwing a bedamned fit.

BTW, teen darlings answering this - don't generalize. You have no clue what I really feel about teens until I answer a question like this. Don't presume to put words in my mouth that were never there in the first place. I don't do that to you.

I think being a teenager was the most AWKWARD stage in my life.

I was constantly worrying about what others thought of me.

I hated my parents.

I loved my friends, though they usually didn't "truly" love me.

I thought a zit could ruin my world.

Once I grew up I realized....

My teenage years were really dumb and mattered not a single bit.

Taking psychology classes I realized that almost every other teen surveyed in the US agreed with my assessment.

"get excitement from your early lifestyles" would not advise you're a "newborn" yet conversing like it relatively is not displaying any adulthood. i'm 17, nevertheless a youngster, and as happy as i'm to be out of midsection college and to no longer be thirteen, i might provide something to be youthful. that would sound weird and wonderful, 17 is a lot extra freedom, blah-de-blah, yet now i'm entering into my senior year in excessive college. i do no longer understand if i'm waiting to decide for an further year after which circulate into the actual international. confident, my dad and mom could be undesirable, and that i won't be able to wait to circulate out, yet relatively i choose them. i do no longer pick to be paying my very own expenses and be faraway from the comforts of having somebody else shelter me. additionally, you would be able to properly be thirteen yet being a youngster is extra advantageous than a quantity. It additionally comes with different accountability. that would sound stupid, yet wait till you get to excessive college! in actuality, it'd be great to be lower back in common college, with recess and little homework. No actual oftentimes used jobs... yet anyhow, to sum all of it up, do no longer ask to be "taken care of like a youngster," once you do no longer even understand what which ability. additionally, the adults are basically attempting to look out for you, no longer belittle you.

In general teens think they know everything and want to do things their way. Some begin to rebel and become disrespectful and ungrateful. Most swear they hate their parents by the time they reach 14. Some begin to make BAD choices not thinking about how it will come back on their parents because they are minors and legally their parents responsibility. And some become royal pains in the behind and as a parent you want them OUT of the house. That much pretty covers it don't ya think.

Depends on how old the teen.. or how old the adult.

I have nothing personally against anyone... but..

in general, I think teens today, are less respectful than they were when I was a teen. And I thought we were bad.

And I'll be 28 on Thursday.

They think teens are irresponsible, hair-brained, crazed, rebels, waiting to cause trouble. They think they are rude, pretentious, and their motives are to be wild and free causing havoc and caos for the innocent older citizens of america. Personally I think being a teenager is just another growing part in life....everyone was one once so you really shouldn't judge a teenager at all. Besides that I think some adults are the ones that are really unruly themselves..........

In general teens are fine, but when they hang out on the corner and smoke and walk as slow as a snail accross the street it gets under my skin. Teens are fun, I have a few =)

Most of them are highly annoying, and constantly ask me for cigarettes while I'm at the mall. There are exceptions though, some of them are really nice, it just depends on the teen in question.
