A CPA from the state of California falsely threatened me with a lawsuit in order to keep me from doing business with his partner in a musical duo.

tape his *** and do the duo anyways..and when he opens his mouth...let him know you have the tape...blackmail can go two ways, come on win this thing!

Report him to his professional board. But how do you know it was a "false threat"? And even if it was, people threaten lawsuits every day, some go through with them, some don't. Unless it's professionally wrong for him to have done that, I can't see what the problem is. If you don't think he could sue you, why not just get on with your life. If you do think he might, I'd be talking to a lawyer instead to make sure of your position.
Someone else said go to the police...don't do that, you'll look like an idiot! It's not like he threatened violence against you and they have much better things to do with their time than worry about people threatening to sue each other over contractual issues...lol.

File a case of Threat against the CPA for forcing you to be with his or her partner. This is punishable under the law.

Go to the police, the BBB, a lawyer...make sure you have proof.
