it depends on your gift/talent.

but i think, being a musician is harder. it requires scholarly study and you have to know the foundations of music. there are so many technicalities in music that you need to know if you really want to be a "musician." when learning hot to play instruments, we put ourselves into physical training. you must be trained how to identify notes relatively. you must develop your listening skills on the process of learning how to play an instrument,

on the other hand, being an actor also needs physical and mental training. but i guess we should have learned how to act when we were little children--- when we have done something wrong and our parents try to find out what happened, then you should act.

everybody can be a musician or an actor, it depends on how well you are in your field. but i guess, being a GREAT musician takes more time rather than to be a GREAT actor.

and what really matters is where your heart will find its place.

As a Musician I would say it's harder to be an Actor. An Actor needs to learn so many different roles, memorize lines, stay in character. A Musician learns one instrument.

Each has its own discipline. From a technical standpoint, music is a very difficult subject to master. Acting is all about evoking emotion into the performance, and there are little tricks to that.
Yeah, I'd have to say being a musician is more difficult. There are no shortcuts to being good.

Well that depends for whom you are asking, like if you are saying this for eg, for anyone with music knowledge being a musician would be easier as compared to being an actor or vice versa

most imp thing is one can learn acting but music is something which you have by default. either you have it or dont.

If you can imagine yourself in a situation, and understand how a certain person would act in that situation, then you can probably act. But learning music takes many years of learning music theory and the technical challenges of your particular instrument. Music has a huge learning curve. It requires the ability to multitask on many levels. You have to calculate the mathematics of time and rhythm, while you concentrate on executing good sound quality, melody, and phrasing, plus you have to learn to make everything flow together in a way that makes sense in regards to what the music is about, and what the composer intended. Also a musical instrument takes years of practice to be able to execute all the techniques that that instrument is capable of.

Being a musician...anyone can "act"...acting is what most of us do on a daily basis and don't even recognize it.

being a musician is harder.
all of us act at one time or another.
on the other hand, not everyone can pull off being a musician.
not everyone can sing, and using an instrument takes patience and years of practice to perfect.

Both are difficult. It really depends. Being a musician can be physically painful...I've played guitar until my fingers have bled. However, playing somebody else would be a difficult task.
