Are contacts tacky?

Depends on what kind you mean. Contacts to see or colored contacts? Ones to see aren't tacky at all, if you need them you need them. Colored ones are completely different. If your going to wear a crazy color or some with designs on them, they are extremely tacky. Wearing greens, blues, or browns is fine though. Just make sure they don't move away from your eye at all, or you'll look really weird.

It depends. I wear clear contacts because I like the way I look without my glasses. Sometimes glasses can clash with your look. But on the other hand I find fake colored contacts to be tacky.

I don't think they are if you like them. That's all that matters really. Tacky how exactly?I think they would be fun-pick a color that is the farthest from your real one and have a good time. Who cares if someone else doesn't like them? Remember that most people who make fun of others are actually jealous and probably wish they had the nerve to be unique. Go for it.

Contacts aren't inherently tacky. It looks tacky when people wear colored contacts that are totally unnatural looking, like violet ones for example.

Colored contacts look best when used to enhance your natural eye color. For instance, a darker, more intense blue for blue eyes or honey contacts for brown eyes.
