Capital cities located ON Mediterranean:
Algeria - Algiers
Lybia - Tripoli

Capital cities located NEAR Mediterranean:
Tunisia - Tunis
Egypt - Cairo
Morocco - Rabat

Here's a map so you can see the location of each capital city (just click on the country to see where its capital is located):

edit:
Malta isn't really considered an African country. It is closer to Italy than it is to Lybia. It's capital city Valletta is on the north shore of the island on the Mediterranean sea. Still, I wouldn't call it an African nation. Most of the people there are European in ancestry.

Check your maps again kids, Tunis is not located ON the Mediterranean -- it's real close, but not close enough. Apparently people like to give thumbs downs to answers that are 100% right.

Egypt is wrong Cairo is on the banks of the Nile well away from the Mediterranean coast. The answer is Libya-Tripoli, Algeria-Algeirs, and Tunisia-Tunis. Rabat the capital of Morrocco is technically on the Atlantic Ocean since it is west and south of the straits of Gibraltor.
