Why are women so hung up on spelling on these forums?

By the way, I am a college grad with above average gpa and a high IQ.

Im a woman, and I couldnt give a shite about the spelling...sometimes it takes me 3 times to understand what the person is trying to say.....lol, but I try to understand the question and what they are trying to say....but I must say, some peoples spelling has been so atrocious, that I didnt understand the question at all. If spelling is so bad that a question cannot be understood, then thats a huge problem because its a waste of the askers time because they are not going to get an answer to their question. If there are a few spelling mistakes, but the question is clear, then the people who pick up the spelling errors are ridiculously stupid and missing the point.

Bad spelling just opens the door for even more jokes about how ridiculous and ill-informed the related question (usually) is.
It further advertises the "asker's" stupidity.
Not a hang up, just an easy point to exploit.
What do you care anyway? Your question has reasonably accurate spelling and grammar with the obvious exception of the second last word.

It's not school, but the reason that you are taught to read and write in school is so that you can use these skills in the 'real world'. When someone makes a mistake, that's okay, but when someone does it repeatedly and then says 'this isn't school', one only looks like a friggin' retard. Sorry about your disability. Don't take it out on women.

While poor spelling may be no indication of intelligence, the lack of spell-check, particularly when typing uneducated swill, shows a lack of forethought. Life is phucking school, and you're a bully.

I dont care unless the spelling is sooo bad that it changes the whole pronunciation of the word.......what is so hard about spelling phonetically .....as in your example....ph still sounds like an F....so it doesnt matter.
