It's hard to generalize as women differ---but I think for the most part, a woman who strays is looking for affection, tenderness, understanding, appreciation which may not be present in her marriage. There's an old saying which, retro as it sounds, is applicable here: "Men use love to get sex. Women use sex to get love."
When a woman has children, it's certainly risky behavior to have an affair, as she has more than herself to think about.
Sometimes, love just unexpectedly blossoms between people who are married to others, as in the famous movie, "Brief Encounter." When that happens, there are soon some serious decisions to be faced.

I would say both but mainly i feel it would be for more the emotional need and attachement. It usually is not just about the sex for a woman. For the men it usually is though. BUT this is still no excuse to cheat at all. She does not need a new lover and you should let her go back to her husband where she needs to be.

I would say that you are looking for some security in your life.If
this man is a new lover make sure that you donot give him your heart right away cause until you find out for sure and all the facyts you might be letting yourself down for a heart break.If he uses the 3 famous words I love you beware he is up to something.Depending on your sex life if it is a good and fulfilling one then I say you want both.Please don't rush into anything just for security and to have someone around.Check him out completely on just what does he want and not want

I don't think that we can answer that question. It all depends on the situation and the needs of the woman. For some it may be purely sexual while for others it could be emotional or both, but I can't tell you for women in generally or even an anedoctal experience simply because I've never cheated.

It would depend on wether she is a married woman or single woman. I'd say a married woman is looking more for the emotional side cause they can get sex from the couch potatoe. The single girl....probably a little of both. I haven't been single for 10 years so that part of my brain is hazy.

emotional attachment...she is looking to be wanted again, she wants to be told how much she is loved and how much she means to the new "lover". Then sex will come too after the emotional attachment.

Most of the time if they are having an affair they just need to feel like they are wanted. Their husband or bf must be neglecting them in some way.

Usually when a woman cheat what she is looking for is REVENGE.. because most times the men cheat first.. I dont know why I woman with a faithful good husband would cheat other than she is a hoe or has mental problems.

think most have affairs because they are bored.what if they had to clean animal hides everyday and cook and wash down by the river and hall firewood and water and mend clothes and do all the things women have traditionally done now that machines and maids and such do.. i dont think they would be bored enough for affairs but well then again they might have affairs in their head but frankly think they would be too tired to think about it. .

i don't need attachment . that is why i have a husband . i want exciting no strings attached sex about 2 times a month
