There is always plenty of rumor when a younger person, especially a celebrity is the victim of a sudden unattended death, but unless the reason is very obvious in autopsy, such as a fatal illness, various tests must be run and the results take time. Unlike the CSI shows with their answers in 60 minutes or less, it can take a few weeks to get the test results. Once they are in, the coroner will announce the results.
Here is part of the Fox news story from 9 Feb
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Initial autopsy results on the body of Anna Nicole Smith failed to pinpoint the cause of death of the ex-Playboy Playmate and reality TV star, but no illegal drugs were found in her hotel room and there was no evidence of a crime, officials said Friday.
"We found no illegal drugs, only prescription medicines" in Smith's hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., according to Seminole Police Chief Charlie Tiger. Nothing unusual was observed on hotel surveillance tapes, which are still being reviewed, and there was no evidence to suggest a crime occurred, he said.
Tiger said he was not releasing the names on the bottles of prescription pills, and that he had gotten sworn statements from all the parties involved.
Smith apparently had been sick for several days with some kind of stomach flu, said Dr. Joshua Perper, the Broward County medical examiner who performed the autopsy.
The autopsy found no pills in her stomach, but officials were awaiting the results of toxicological tests that would indicate whether she had taken drugs, Perper said.

Questions over the death of Anna Nicole Smith, like those over the paternity of her 5-month-previous daughter, or her stake in her late husband's $450 million assets, will stay unanswered for now. yet after an post-mortem Friday, Broward County scientific examiner Joshua Perper reached one important end: "We did no longer see any mass parts of pills in her abdomen," he reported. "There are no longer any findings to point persisted drug abuse." He reported Smith suffered from a abdomen flu in contemporary days.

They have found nothing conclusive yet. A lot of tests have to be sent out, so if may be a month or two until we know if there was an overdose or drug interaction that caused her death.

Supposedly, they said that her death wasn't foul play and that she wasn't on drugs. They still haven't ruled out a reason for her death, though. If you ask me, it all seems kind of strange. I still have a feeling her current lawyer had something to do with it.

Yeah, it will all probably lead to suicide since she lost her son, dads have been popping up everywhere claiming her child's his. They're quite depressing and can lead to suicide tendencies.
